Update November 10, 2021: Town staff has talked with the contractor working on the Trophy Lakes brick wall project after watching the impacts the construction has had on traffic thus far.

It has been determined that while there is reasonable protection for the crews working along the 600 feet of lane closure, there IS an impact to drivers in that area particularly during the morning commute hours. As a result, the right lane closure times will be limited and will take place only between the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM to better accommodate traffic mobility.

TC elementary schools currently begin at 7:40 AM with the majority of Southbound school traffic in that area generally over by 8:00 AM. The goal in delaying the right lane closure to 8:00 AM is to lessen the impact for morning commuters. This change should alleviate the feeling that students need to be dropped off earlier in order to arrive on time or before school is prepared for their arrival.

As a reminder, this project is expected to last approximately 3 months. Traffic control devices will be picked up today by 5:00 PM. Staff will continue to monitor traffic / progress and make any necessary accommodations where possible to help mitigate concerns while the project is completed.

Thank you for your continued patience during this time, we again apologize for the inconvenience during this work. If you have any questions, please contact Kevin O'Dell at 682-237-2936.
